In 2017, Mirakl processed over 200,000 orders on the Black Friday, creating more than $23M GMV for our customers. Fast forward to the same period in 2018 and Mirakl processed over 500,000 orders, creating $60M GMV. We are proud of our clients and their achievements!

The highlights span significant growth in all of our core regions, from seeing our customers access new consumers in global geographies, to witnessing our customers dominate sales in their regions. While there were some notable site outages in the retail world, Mirakl's Marketplace Platform had 100% uptime throughout the holiday shopping period.

Here are a few stories we're happy to share:

Catch Group

Catch Group, one of Australia's largest online retailers, celebrated their biggest sales day ever.

CEO Nati Harpaz said, "Black Friday wasn't black at all for Catch...It was our biggest day in the history of the company and it was big in a big way - achieving over $5M of sales in one day (up $2M on our previous record)! We are so grateful to be in this space and we couldn't have done this without our amazing team at Catch.com.au, our suppliers, our marketplace sellers and above all, our customers..."

Carrefour Brazil

Carrefour Brazil, the #1 leading retailer in Brazil, saw over 30,000 online orders and $8M in sales over the period from Black Friday through Cyber Monday.

Head of eCommerce Luiz Escobar said, "The results far surpassed our expectations. When we launched in 2017, our goal was to onboard 250 sellers. Today we have 1,300 sellers and 1 million offers available through our marketplace partners, and the results showcase how much more value they provide to our customers and Carrefour."

Top Performing Category

The top performing category globally was fashion and the top performing product was a smartphone.

An online marketplace helps retailers increase availability of existing products or quickly add new products, which is critical during the holiday period. Mirakl recently conducted research to analyze the impact of retailers being out of stock during holiday 2017 and found, "Nearly 40 percent of online shoppers experienced an item being out of stock while shopping on a retailer's site; 80 percent of these shoppers defected to another retailers website."

A Global Offering

Mirakl's clients are predominantly based in Europe, North America, South America, and Australia, but the orders placed came from 80 countries.

We're lucky to have the opportunity to support such growth for our amazing clients.

For the rest of 2018, bonne chance!
